WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?​

 

This course is for candidates who need to gain an electrical NVQ level 3 to progress themselves within the industry.  The NVQ Level 3 can open many doors for those who hold it, especially in the world of electrical contracting.

 

We have looked at both City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 and EAL NVQ Level 3 and have tried to find the best route for our candidates to achieve the electrical industry standard.

 

This course is ideal if you are already working in the industry but have no formal electrical qualifications or you do not hold the required electrical qualifications required.

 

17th Edition Wiring Regulations Amendment 3 has changed from the competent person to the skilled person (electrically) definition, which states electricians are to have sufficient education and training in the specific field they are working in.  In other words, if candidates do not hold the appropriate qualifications they can no longer be employed without the business owner falling foul of the regulations and potentially creating a loop hole for his or her insurers.

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS COURSE?​

You will need to have a good knowledge of electrical installation work and be working in the industry in order to be able to provide evidence for your portfolio of work.  It is a requirement of the JIB that candidates who take this course must comlete the AM2 electrical assessment if they haven't already done so, in order to gain the full qualification. 

 

​HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?​

 3 months plus but as the whole course is ON LINE,  there is no requirement to take time off work
