​WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?

You should attend the CCTV course  and Access Control Installers Course if you already have a degree of electrical knowledge and wish to enter into the lucrative security alarms sector. 

WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS COURSE?
The  CCTV installers course and Door Entry Systems Installers Course is intended for those with electrical knowledge or experience.  If you don't have this knowledge then we would recommend you take your Part P Defined Scope or even Part P Full Scope prior to attending this course.

HOW LONG IS THE CCTV INSTALLERS COURSE?
The CCTV course and Door Entry Systems Installers Course is a Two Day Course.  You will be awarded a Wmd certificate of achievement upon successful completion of the course and all it's elements.

  • Thermal imaging

  • Review of the base video signal

  • Setting up and applying function switches on cameras

  • Selecting and installing appropriate lens and camera combinations

  • Configuring day and night cameras with appropriate filters

  • Establishing masking, tour set up and programming of dome cameras

  • Wiring a fully functional camera (PTZ) using Kopex and multi-core cabling

  • Applying active and passive baluns to CAT5 cabling circuitsInstalling cameras over long runs of coaxial cable

  • Setting up and installing multiple cameras into DVRs

  • Calculating necessary storage for given applications

  • Best practice set up and termination procedures for display screens
