​WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?
The 18th Edition Amendment 2, wiring regulations 1 day update course is only recommended for electricians who have taken the 18th Edition Wiring regulations course within the last 6 months since 28th September 2021.  Or for candidates who already have a very good working knowledge of the wiring regulations and use them on a day to day basis

WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS COURSE?
This 18th Edition Update Course is limited to candidates who already hold the 18th Edition qualification.

Further to this, it is a requirement that any candidate opting to take this course has a thorough and in depth knowledge of the 18th edition wiring regulations.


HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
The 18th edition update course is One day duration, with the Full City & Guilds exam taking place on the day.  The exam for this course is the same exam as that for the 3 day course.  Non of the accrediting bodies do an update exam, hence the requirement for an in depth knowledge of the wiring regulations.


It is a legal requirement under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and is advised by BS7671:2022 that any person carrying out electrical work in the U.K. must be competent to do so.



All electrical governing bodies will require all members to hold the BS7671:2022 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification in order to gain or hold existing memberships.
