WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE?
The 17th Edition 3rd Amendment to wiring regulations course is for anyone who already holds the City and Guilds 17th edition qulaification and needs to update to their 17th edition amendment 3 qulaification.

WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS COURSE?
You will need to already hold the 17th edition qulaification.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
The 17th edition amendment 3 update course is One day duration, 


It is a legal requirement under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and is advised by BS7671:2008 to Amendment 1:2011 that any person carrying out electrical work in the U.K. must be competent to do so.



All electrical Competent Person Schemes require all members to hold the BS7671:2008 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification in order to gain or hold existing memberships.  The electrical competent person schemes will all require members to update their knowledge to 17th edition amendment 3  on its release.



The amendment 3 update course taught by WMD is amongst the most recognized training in the industry.

Part 2 Definitions:

It has been proposed to modify the definitions to align with that of the IEV (International Electrotechnical Vocabulary) 

 

Chapter 52:

Cables concealed in walls and partitions

 

Section 557:

A new section created for Auxiliary Circuits

 

Section 717:

Mobile and Transportable Units

 

Sections 559, 714 and 715:

Luminaires and Lighting Installations

 

Chapter 41:

Protection against electric shock

 

Cmin Factor:

A factor which takes in to account variations in voltages

 

Chapter 42:

Protection against thermal effects

 

Appendix 6:

Model forms for certification and reporting
